Winter of Enchantment

Holiday event that infuses rich traditions of a New Mexico Christmas with the charm of a farm.

Welcome to Albuquerque’s newest seasonal celebration, Winter of Enchantment, proudly presented by Big Jim Farms, one of our area’s longest-standing agricultural families. Some folks may have come by in the past to pick sunflowers with us or learn how to make chile ristras, but there’s so much magic this time of year too.

Nestled on a picturesque 16-acre tract of land near the river, at Coors and Montano (brand new location), this isn't your average holiday celebration.

Starting November 24th until December 31st, we’re creating a rustic wonderland along the Rio Grande for everyone to experience the warmth of gathering together while honoring this place we call home, its rich traditions, and the deeper meanings that Winter has for us. Winter of Enchantment will be a holiday event that infuses rich traditions of a New Mexico Christmas with the charm of a farm.

Embrace the enchantment as you stroll through a radiant display of dazzling lights under the New Mexico night sky. Discover the heartwarming traditions of the Land of Enchantment, with luminarias, live mariachi music, and holiday shopping from local vendors. Savor the flavors of New Mexico with food trucks serving up locally sourced, seasonal favorites, and raise a glass to the season with local beer and wine.

Capture the magic with family photo stations and get ready to meet our very own Cowboy Santa, ready to hear your holiday wishes. Experience the true spirit of the season with a live nativity featuring farm animals and get lost in the captivating tales of our storytellers. Hop on a sleigh hayride, learn the art of tamale and red chile workshops, and immerse yourself in the joy of caroling.

While our list of offerings is long, we need you and your good tidings to make this as special as it can be. Please help us reclaim the holidays for our community, spread the love, reconnect with our roots, and rekindle our sense of place. ‘Tis the season, y’all!
