Big Jim’s U-Pick farm is open for the season! We invite you to visit our 9-acre farm for a unique family friendly outing. Visitors can pick what we have in harvest ranging from sunflowers to pumpkins. Our U-Pick farm is open daily 8am to 6pm throughout the Summer and Fall! Do not forget that at Big Jim Farms, we are FAMOUS for our green Chile. Green Chile and on-site Chile roasting is happening now until End of October! (Green Chile not available for U-Pick this year) We have all varieties of Green Chile from mild to extra-hot.

Our fields have a magnificent display of Sunflowers that come into bloom monthly until the end of October for you to pick your perfect bouquet. Our specialty flower U-Pick, including Zinnias and Marigolds, will start in September and last until the end of October.

Do not forget your cameras, as you will have plenty of opportunities to capture some magical photos while you walk through our dreamy fields.

For the flower U-Pick, we have flower clippers and a mason jar for you to take home your handpicked bouquet. This is how it works to pick your own flowers: We set you up with clippers to cut your own flowers. We charge $5 to rent the clippers, but once you return them to us, we will exchange them for a free mason jar with water to take home your flowers. You can pick as many as you want, and the price is around $2-$5 per flower or 5 flowers for $15.

For our Green Chile, you can by the LB (around $1 per LB), ½ bushel ($20), bushel ($30) or a sack ($45.) Roasting ($5) on-site daily. U-pick experience will not be available this year, but we have plenty of Green Chile that is pre-picked and can be roasted on-site. Mild through extra hot varieties available.

Zinnia, Cosmo, Dahlia, and specialty variety flower U-Pick will start in September and go through October.

Green Chile Roasting happening now until End of October.

Red Chile Ristra Class will start September 17th and will be offered every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday until the end of October. Book on our website in advance for this class. All supplies included.

Our pumpkin patch picking will start at the end of September until Halloween. We have some beautiful varieties of pumpkins growing where you can cut them from the vine.

As always, we have our open-air market with we-pick produce ready to go including, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, watermelons, peaches, apples, our famous salsa, Chile ristras, honey, specialty hot peppers, Red Chile and more (Depending on season)

There is no admission fee to visit our farm, but you will only have to pay for what you pick. If you do not want to pick anything, you are welcome to visit and hang out at our farm animal area, kids play area, and listen to live music on select weekends. While you wander through Big Jim’s U-Pick farm, do not forget to say hi to our friendly farm animals including the famous Chile chickens!
