Cost: $45 per person Location: Big Jim Farms 4515 Rio Grande Blvd Los Ranchos, NM 87017 Date: August 28th 5pm 7pm Jeannie Schulte Bio: Jennie is an artist with 43 years of experience in the ART Field! She is still learning art techniques, teaching in the classrooms and teaching art in her home. While in Florida for 13 years and starting her own Mural business, Jennie also worked with the Florida Parade of Homes for 5 years painting their murals, specialty finishes and raised plaster finishes. Returning to Albuquerque, and working with a local church, created 7 stained glass windows, 12 marbleized columns, raised plaster bricks around all church windows and painted the statues that represent the faith in their church. One of Jennie’s favorite projects was being the founder of “A Park Above”, a 6-acre park in Rio Rancho, NM that is for any age, any person, any ability. She joined Rotary, a community service organization and they made her Community Chair. She decided that something for the community was necessary and founded A Park Above, raised funds, set up a 501c3, put together a board, set up events for awareness, sold bricks of which you can still have your name in granite at A Park Above and leave your legacy for your family! There is such a feeling of humility when given an unexpected award. Receiving the New Mexico Humanitarian award from the Albuquerque JCC’s August 19, 2017, for being involved with A Park Above that words cannot express! Then Marquis Who’s Who recognized Jennie as a Distinguished Humanitarian in 2018 for A Park Above!
